I wrote this song after going to a friend’s funeral. I’d written a verse idea, but after the funeral on the drive home, the rest of the song poured out. The song is about missing someone…whether that person has moved on, moved away, is serving our country or, ultimately, has passed on. When the person you miss isn’t around, no matter where they are, the longing can feel the same.
I’m glad “Nowhere Else” has resonated with listeners, and I’m grateful for everyone’s support.
